On the 19th of December , i took part in a chalk painting workshop down in An gairdìn.
When Mrs Murtagh first announced that we could participate in a chalk painting workshop i was a little confused because i had never heard of chalk painting before and i didnt know what to think
We all couldn't go down on the one day together so we split up into 3 groups. I was the 2nd group to go so i went on the Tuesday. I didnt talk to anyone who had went the day before me so i had no real expectations going in.
We were greeted at the doors of the main part of An gairdìn by a man and a woman , they were both very friendly.
there was 2 long tables with chairs at them , buckets of paint and a plank of wood at each seating.
We had to pick 3 colours going from dark to light. We then painted the planks and we had to dry the paint with a hairdryer
When the paint had dried we were given a black wax and a white wax to rub into the paint to give it a shine to the paint.
Overall i enjoyed the workshop it was something different to participate in ad we got to take home the planks that we created.
