On Tuesday the 26th, Suzie Mahony visited our school in attempted to teach us the art of Millinery.
On the Tuesday morning, we were taken into Room V for the first 3 classes, where Suzie then showed us how to make our very own fancy hats
Suzie had a table full of fabrics and little decorations that we could use to make our hats. We all got a needle and thread and Suzie then began to show us the basics of sewing, she said that this would be fairly useful if we ever need a button sewn instead of paying someone to do it for you. Alot of people found this quite difficult including myself but everyone got the hang of it after, we kind of.
Overall i really did enjoy Suzie's visit and i surprisingly really did like the sewing and crafting. It was really good to see what everyone had created and they were all really good for people who had never even heard of Millinery, like myself. I seen it as a chance to get really creative and i really did enjoy it. And i now know to to sew a button on to a pants!
